I had the privilege of working on Akila City in Starfield. I took over the city in an earlier state and my directive was to take ownership, work in conjunction with multiple disciplines and bring the city to a final polished state while remaining performant.
As a Senior Environment Artist in Starfield I was responsible for unique asset creation, kit creation, texture/material/decal creation, preparing assets for outsourcing, some level design/redesign, terrain sculpting/painting, world building/set dressing/story-telling and everything in-between. I truly appreciated being trusted with the freedom to put my own ideas into Akila City to bring it to another level.
Owning a city required me to create new assets as the need arose. Here I'm sharing a small sample of the work I did primarily for Akila City but the assets can be seen throughout the game. Most assets here are completely from scratch however some are a mix of kit-bashed prefab parts with custom art as a base.
